Each TVS Learning Support Assistant has a working, four day, in-school timetable, matching their respective school’s timetable, supporting daily English & Maths lessons along with delivering weekly, extra lessons in Maths, English & reading. The LSAs meet each Friday at the Learning Centre to assess and report on the week’s work, create resources and undergo further training.
Topics covered include Lesson Planning, Phonics, Speaking & Listening, Teaching Reading, Classroom displays, Reading Corners, Book Care, Excel formulas, Power Point, Team-Teaching.
